Randall Hay

Dr. Hay has 40 years experience with ceramics processing and characterization. Much of this has been done with high temperature and ultra-high temperature ceramics related to materials of interest for the US Air Force. Dr. Hay has extensive expertise in electron microscopy of oxides and carbides, both materials of interest to faculty at Mines. He has a background in geology and mineralogy which is ideal for performing structural and chemical analysis of high temperature ceramics.
